For his 21st feature, the legendary Madrid filmmaker delivers his most personal, intimate work so far. Antonio Banderas (best actor award at Cannes) is quite simply stunning in his embodiment of an aging, world-renowned filmmaker who loves men and surrounds himself with strong women. Constructed like a melancholy puzzle, Pain and Glory is a kind of celebration of heartbreak and unfulfilled love. Here, Almodovar refines his talent for melodrama and shares his obsessions, anxieties and overwhelming passion for the silver screen in a work that feels like a legacy.
The film will be screened in its original version with french subtitles on October 15th and with english subtitles on October 17th

"Pedro Almodóvar finally makes his “8 1/2,” and it’s a towering, tender achievement." The Playlist
"Bittersweet perfection from Pedro Almodóvar. Antonio Banderas gives the performance of his career as a fictional stand-in for the Spanish director in a drama that blurs the line between art and life." The Guardian

On October 15th, book your evening for a gastro diner inspired by the film.
