Seven-year-old Jacob wants to be an architect. While his father is away on business, he grudgingly agrees to spend a week with his cousin Mimmi in a suburb of Riga. As the boy explores his new environment, he unexpectedly runs into a pack of talking dogs. With Mimi and his new canine friends by his side, Jacob tries to save the neighbourhood from a huge real-estate development.
