Brigitte Monneau

MODERATOR
Brigitte Monneau has been working in the film and audiovisual industry for over 20 years. She began her career as a legal advisor in television companies before joining Telefilm Canada where she held several professional and management positions. She was in charge of co-productions and international business development and managed several teams in business relations and program administration for the Canada Media Fund.

Over the years, she has developed a solid experience in planning, management and partnership development. Her career has also enabled her to develop an important network in the screens industries at the national and international levels, both at the government level and in the private sector.

Since October 2017, she has been the Femmes du Cinéma, de la Télévision et des Médias Numériques, the Quebec chapter of the Women in Film and Television International network, a network of industry professionals who support their creative and career development and promote their talents.

Ky Nam Le Duc

Son of a boat-people, Ky Nam Le Duc has directed several films, including West Coast Quebec, Terre des Hommes, Oscillations and CANADA. His stories feature those rarely seen in Quebec cinema, a cinema he discovered through the films of Pierre Falardeau and Robert Morin.

Katherine Jerkovic

Born in Canada from an uruguayan mother and a croatian-argentinian father, Katherine spent her childhood in Belgium and her teenage years in Uruguay. At the age of 18, she moved to Montreal to study film at Concordia University (bachelor degree and mastery). Since then, she has directed several experimental and fiction short films, a video installation and, most recently, a first fiction feature film that won, among other awards, the Best Canadian First Feature Film Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. She’s also been a producer and production manager on her colleagues' projects. It is better to avoid asking her where she comes from; the answer would be very long and a little confusing. His homeland is Cinema.

Byol-nathalie Kimura-lemoine

kimura byol-nathalie lemoine is an atypical a-gendered asian adopted abroad, artist, activist, archivist autodidact.e who works on identities (diaspora, ethnicity, colorism, post-colonialism, immigration, gender). They was awarded the Regard sur Montréal residency offered by the Conseil des arts de Montréal, SODEC and the NFB in 2017 and a grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec for his essay Project'88 etc. in 2018.

Charlie Boudreau

Charlie Boudreau has worked in Montréal’s cultural milieu as an artist, promoter and festival programmer/organizer for over 30 years. As a media artist Boudreau has produced films, photo exhibits and held a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts. Since 1997, Boudreau has been Executive Director of image+nation, Montréal's LGBTQ Film Festival and has contributed to expanding their mandate to disseminate LGBTQ culture beyond the Festival. Boudreau has sat on juries at Berlinale, among others.

Jérôme Pruneau

Doctor in Anthropology, Executive Director of Diversité artistique Montréal (DAM), Professor at university for 10 years, consultant and trainer, course instructor at UQAM and the Université de Sherbrooke, author of numerous scientific articles and books, Jérôme Pruneau puts his skills at the service of so-called diversity artists by accompanying them in the (re)development of their professional careers in Quebec.
Convinced of the challenges of interculturality and the richness of diversity for any society, he campaigns to change people's perceptions, open their minds, and advocate for inclusion and equity in all its forms. He works closely with many organizations (municipalities, businesses, community organizations, etc.) to support them in their transition to a better consideration of the "ethnocultural diversity" factor within their organization. Its main objective is to raise awareness, support and equip all those who aspire to include diversity in their values, actions and strategic positioning. He is the author of the essay “Il est temps de dire les choses” published in October 2015.
